Policy AA32 Use of Electronic Devices in Class has been updated

The purpose of the policy is to support the effective use of electronic devices during classes and evaluation sessions. When incorporated, electronic devices can foster a learner-centred, engaging, and inclusive culture. Electronic devices can enhance active learning, collaboration, and accessibility for students with diverse needs and backgrounds. 


This policy and related procedures apply to all students and faculty while in the learning environment.


  1. The following updates have been made to the policy: Updates to language supporting the effective use of technology.
  2. Clarification regarding image, audio, and video recordings of classes.
  3. New text regarding Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) supported programs.
